Woman Survives Alleged Poisoning Attempt by Best Friends and Shares Her Story of Survival

Alexa “Lexi” Weinbaum, from Connecticut, explained in a series of TikTok videos how she was poisoned by her so-called friends, one of whom had been her childhood best friend. Lexi said she was hanging out with three friends when they allegedly gave her a substance that caused her to black out. The substance, later identified as K2 (also known as “Spice”), led to severe medical issues, including seizures and psychosis.

Lexi described how, after losing consciousness, she managed to escape the attack by screaming loudly enough to wake up the homeowner’s mother. She was able to run away, although one of her friends chased after her, trying to convince others that she didn’t need help. Eventually, Lexi collapsed and was rushed to the hospital, where she was treated for the poisoning and seizures.

Doctors discovered the synthetic drug in her system, along with opiates, and she was hospitalized for several days. Lexi later experienced ongoing health problems, including heart issues, and continued to receive medical care in the following months. She reflected on her friends’ possible motives but acknowledged that she would never truly know why they had attempted to harm her.

In the aftermath, Lexi founded the organization Sound of Survivors, which aims to raise awareness about violent crime and offer resources to support victims in their recovery. Through her platform, Lexi continues to advocate for others who have faced similar trauma, turning her painful experience into a source of strength and education.
