Tasha Bentley, a 23-year-old content creator from Walkden, Greater Manchester, has taken her admiration for the popular pub chain Wetherspoons to the next level by getting a massive “Wetherspoons” tattoo inked across her belly. The tattoo, which stretches 1.6 feet wide and measures five inches tall, was completed in November 2024 after several months of work, and it cost her £500.

The tattoo, done in a death metal font, has raised eyebrows among Tasha’s family and friends, as well as patrons at her local Wetherspoons, The Bull’s Head Hotel. Despite the surprise from those around her, Tasha couldn’t be more thrilled with her new ink, calling it “iconic” and her favorite among her 55 tattoos.
Tasha explained that her love for both Wetherspoons and metal music inspired the design. Combining her passion for bands like Cannibal Corpse and Mötley Crüe with her fondness for the pub chain, the tattoo serves as a tribute to both. She also mentioned how affordable food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a sense of safety, especially when visiting alone, make Wetherspoons her go-to pub.
Although the tattoo process was uncomfortable, with Tasha admitting she “hated every minute of it,” the end result was worth it. She even joked that the tattoo might earn her a free whisky at the pub, adding, “I’m now a walking advert for them.”

While her family finds the tattoo a bit “weird,” Tasha’s friends were unsurprised by her decision, describing it as something only she would do. As for the staff at her local Wetherspoons, their reaction was more bemused than anything, with Tasha explaining, “They were just like, ‘Why?’. I said ‘Because I want to and I love Wetherspoon.'”
With her bold tattoo now permanently etched on her body, Tasha continues to proudly represent the chain, joking that one free whisky would be a fitting reward for her dedication.
